About
I make quiet pictures of loud places.
Bakscuro is the photographic practice of a Vilnius-based photographer working exclusively in black and white. The work moves between brutalist architecture, the Baltic coastline, and the strangers who happen to stand in front of both.
Removing color is not a style decision — it is a discipline. What remains is geometry, texture, and tone: the things a place is actually made of once you stop being distracted by it.
Everything here is shot slowly, mostly on overcast days, and printed small. Selected collections are published on this site; longer thoughts end up in the journal.
